Better knock it down a notch...what are you threatening me again. What is it that has offended you ? I am being nice as well as honest so don't be so sensitive and listen to what people have to say for once,I believe it's in everyone's best interests here

@ sage ??? what are you talking about, the material it is made out of (bone) is replaced by patterned cloth, nothing says you have to change the object, just switch the material it is made out of,you have a serious problem judging other people's work

So, the skull isn't replaced, it's just covered up. Only the teeth are changed.

anyhow by wrapped I didn't mean as in a birthday present,I meant as in vacuum sealed wrapped so that the cloth hugs the entire convoluted surface of the skull, as in displacement wrap

we have to take liberties, so there's no sense trying to bring some pointless logic to some entries. They are what they are.

I realize this is a pointless discussion, but if the skull was wrapped in cloth, it would not be inside the eyes and nose sockets, ...again,...a pointless discussion.

thanks,as as usual there is always more that can be done to improve one's work and as usual the problem is the amount of time one can take to perfect the image,my time is up for this one so it wll have to do,I appreciate your comment Cool

Overall, the displacement looks pretty good. With a little fine tuning and maybe some additional dodging and burning, it would be even better. I agree. jewels, totally necessary for the effect. Perhaps some more blending and lighting but solid concept.

ok thanks Ligden but it so happens the title of the image is Jeweled Skull,if it didn't have any jewels the title would be misleading right, besides half the fun was giving it those jewel implants Crazy

Vic the original ownwer of the skull might consider that a problem but I 'm fine with that and actually I think the guy that wrapped the skull in that patterned cloth didn't do to bad of a job at all :)

whatever but the thing is this is a real artifact discovered in a long lost mayan temple in the jungles of Yucatan Cool

yeah, but the problem is that the pattern does not follow the contours of the skull.

Personally I think that gemstone teeth do not bring much and that the skull is self-sufficient.
