invert/not lense. shadows on top of da ball. no light. n so on. it doesn't matter for surrealism.. but in here. realistic s primary. ya may practice in real world. eg put glass on table n look carefully da shadows light source hlight refract. reflect..

Actually I didn't read that when I was looking up the lighting. That is good to know, I guess I will look that up now about inverting the image:-)

Since I now know who this is, I don't feel right in voting. If I did, it would be a below 45 vote.

do not drag for painting if ya use paintbrush tool. just click once.. if ya use paintbrush tool. set it to ellipse shape n rotate it wid da same degree of da shadows. for paper words transparency ya may dodge da layer but it s no need.

sorry @lynnettel. maybe this ll waste yar time.. a little more.. under da middle of da glass ball. cover under glass shadows. inside da ball a little. can be seen through da ball a bit. may do what vicspa said n see da diffs

Instead of painting with white over the shadow, you should've erased the highlight from the shadow allowing the paper and type to show through. Light is transparent not opaque.

it looks more realistic now.. da white spot should be close to da ball touching da ball n under da ball. but must be inside da shadows. n it ll perfect. zoom 200-400% under da ball of me sample entry. it s very small shadows n highligts. not on da ocean

Thank you both for the advice. I hope I did it right. After looking it up, it said to make a shadow ring, very light and add another ring smaller but brighter in center:-)

You all mean that there should be a small amount of white in the middle of the shadow right?

A crystal ball acts as a magnifier, so the outside of the refraction should appear huge.
